How much does an addition cost per square metre?
It varies enormously with foundation conditions, finish level and access. Anyone quoting a rate over the phone before seeing the site is guessing. We assess free and quote a fixed scope in writing.
Do I need council plans?
For most additions and structural alterations, yes. We will tell you at the assessment what needs approval and can coordinate the draughting and submission.
How long does an addition take?
A single-room addition typically runs six to twelve weeks depending on size, weather and plan approval. We give you a programme with the quote.
Do you take deposits and how do payments work?
Work is quoted with a payment schedule tied to stages completed — not one large upfront amount. It is set out in writing before anything starts.
Can you take over a job another builder abandoned?
Yes, and it happens more than it should. We assess what has been done, what has to be redone, and quote from there. We will be straight with you about the cost.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes — shopfitting, office alterations and small commercial builds, as principal contractor or sub-contractor.
